L'Islette under the stars
Wednesdays 10, 17, 24 and 31 July - 7, 14 and 21 August
Make the most of 7 special evenings to explore the château and its park at nightfall, and by 1000 candlelights, and share a picnic with family or friends by the water.
Open non-stop until 11.00 pm. The tour of the interior of the château ends at 8.45pm.
Show or concert at 9pm, on a stage at the foot of the castle.
Usual entrance fee. Purchase tickets online (non-refundable except in the event of cancellation of the night) or on site directly.
The tickets purchased online grant access to visit the castle at any time on the day (from 10 a.m.).
For a successful evening :
- bring a sheet (thick or waterproof ideally) to lie on the lawn
- tables and chairs are available in the park (in limited quantities)
- You can also bring your own folding chairs/tables for added comfort!
- candles/chandeliers if you're sitting at a table, for an even more romantic evening!
- bring your own supplies
- Supplies are also available on site at the mill: drinks, wines, beers, limited quantities of fresh bread, spreads, pâtés, terrines, cold meats, ice creams, etc.
- mosquito repellent
- all you have to do is settle in and enjoy the evening!

Wednesday 17th July
Within the framework of the nocturnes L'Islette under the stars, at 9pm, a jazz concert by the group The Democratics.
A very contemporary acoustic quintet, formed during the first deconfiguration in 2020, The Democratics nevertheless draws its inspiration from the swing of the 1930s. Their aim is simple: to revive the music of the greats, including Duke Ellington, Sidney Bechet, Lil' Hardin and Armstrong...
The five musicians are well aware of the stylistic mountain they have to climb, and yet they cover this music with a period sound, while bringing a gentle madness of our time.
Trumpet, clarinet and trombone energise a rhythm section pared down to a simple guitar and double bass. And yet the band swings as furiously as the Hot jazz of the 1930s.
With Bastien Weeger (clarinet), Paul Weeger (trumpet), Mickael Ballue (trombone), Pablo Burchard (double bass), Sylvain Prince (guitar).

Within the framework of the nocturnes, L'Islette under the stars, at 9pm, tango show
By the association Tango Promotion & El Tango Club
Around 8pm, initiation to Argentinean tango for the public, by Carolina Udoviko.
At 9pm, tango demonstrations by members of the Tango Promotion association. Accompanied by a concert by El Tango Club in a quartet formation (digital keyboard, double bass/vocals, bandoneon, violin).
Rooted in the world of Argentine tango, El Tango Club offers a repertoire based on the great composers of the classical and popular tango years, the 40s and 50s, such as Alfredo de Angelis, Carlos Di Sarli and Juan d'Arienzo, among others, as well as original arrangements that respect rhythm and melody. Original, high-quality music, orchestrated by artists whose authenticity is beyond question.
To close the evening, a small milonga (tango ball) with music by a tango DJ.

By Lizzy & The Old Swing Men
A professional singer and dancer, Lizzy Bourbon will have you swinging to the vibes of rhythm'n'blues and soul! Surrounded by three experienced musicians from the Swing scene, they created the group "Lizzy & The Old Swing Men", who will take you on a journey from the 30's to the 50's with their frenzied tunes.
Initiation at the swing at 8 p.m. by the Go Swing association of Chinon.
A dance floor will be set up for Swing fans to dance to.

During a musical and dance journey, the artists propose a total immersion in the atmosphere of the traditional "Tablao Flamenco" where the dialogue between music and dance awakens deep, unsuspected and very strong sensations in those who listen and watch.
