Friday picnics
15, 22 and 29 July - 5 and 12 August
On these 5 Fridays during the summer, l'Islette will remain open until 9.30 pm to offer its visitors the opportunity to have an aperitif or a picnic in the park of the castle or by the river.
So bring your own drinks and food or buy from the shop in the mill. Discover the organic wines of Nicolas Paget from the Azay-le-Rideau appellation (sold by the glass or by the bottle and to be enjoyed in moderation). Don't forget a cloth and sit down with your family or friends for a relaxed and friendly end to the day.
Around 7.30 pm, jazz concert in the garden:
– Les 15, 29 juillet et 12 août, par le Patrick Filleul Trio avec selon les soirées : Robin Schmidlin à la guitare, David Salesse à la contrebasse, Louis Guignier au vibraphone, Nicolas Rousserie à la guitare, Kevin Gervais à la contrebasse et Patrick Filleul à la batterie. « Notre musique est le jazz, les belles mélodies, les standards connus et méconnus, et toujours jouer avec passion et envie et tout ça pour le plaisir du public ».
- 22 July and 5 August, by the Joshua Perez Trio. Joshua Perez and Léo Watremez on guitar and Thomas Quere, on double bass, follow in the footsteps of Gypsy jazz standards, from Django to Bireli...
The visit of the castle's interior will end at 7.30pm.
Normal admission fee (holders of an admission ticket purchased before 7pm can stay for the picnic aperitifs at no extra charge).

Make the most of 5 special evenings to explore the château and its park at nightfall, and by 1000 candlelights, and share a picnic with family or friends by the water.
Ouverture sans interruption jusque 23h30 – La visite de l’intérieur du château se terminera à 9pm.
Vinea Loire Valley, a wine cellar in Azay-le-Rideau, will introduce us to wines from the region.

Par le JODY Sterngerg 4tet
Avec la chanteuse Jody Stenberg, accompagnée de Laurent Marode au piano, David Salesse à la contrebasse et Patrick Filleul à la batterie.
La rencontre des quatre membres de ce groupe fut le point départ d’un projet ambitieux et plein de gaieté, immédiatement marqué par une grande complicité artistique. Le quartet interprète un répertoire en formation serrée et aux arrangements ciselés.

By the Compañia Flamenco Léa Carlosema.
During a musical and dance journey, the artists propose a total immersion in the atmosphere of the traditional "Tablao Flamenco" where the dialogue between music and dance awakens deep, unsuspected and very strong sensations in those who listen and watch.

Within the framework of the nocturnes, L'Islette under the stars, at 9 pm, tango show
By the Tango Promotion association.
Around 8pm, initiation to Argentinean tango for the public, by Carolina Udoviko.
At 9pm, concert and performance of Argentinean tango by Carolina Udoviko (choreography and dance), Emile Gayoso (dance) and Xinqi Hoang (dance).
To close the evening, a small milonga (tango ball) with music by a tango DJ.

Miss Camille Claudel - Play
Samedi 18 juin 2022 – 20h
The show is based on the correspondence and diaries of Camille, Paul Claudel and Rodin, letters written, received and exchanged with each other, as well as letters exchanged with Camille's friends, institutions, the Beaux Arts, the Minister of Fine Arts, art merchants, journalists and art critics.
There is nothing invented or romanticized, the words are those written or received.
A moving, intelligent and beautiful show about Camille Claudel!

Concert of Renaissance music by the Coro Misto da Beira Interior
Directed by Luis Cipriano, this choir of 24 people, dressed in period costumes, accompanied by ancient instruments: percussion, lute, viola da gamba, recorder, will perform exclusively works from the Renaissance (Arbeau, Duffay, Gabrieli, Certon...).
This Portuguese choir, in addition to giving concerts in the main cities of Portugal, has toured the world and has won numerous international prizes and medals.

Dans mon jardin… gaiement chantons Concerts par l’ensemble Jacques Moderne
Dirigé par Joël Suhubiette, l’ensemble Jacques Moderne vous invite cet été à célébrer les jardins à travers les chansons de la Renaissance.
Jardin retrouvé, nourricier, secret ou d’Eden, évocation des fleurs, des arbres, des oiseaux, des plantes aromatiques, des légumes et de la vigne, quatre chanteurs de l’Ensemble, accompagnés par le luth, interprètent des œuvres issues du répertoire polyphonique français de la Renaissance et de la tradition populaire. Un programme qui se veut joyeux, festif, bouffon mais également poétique.
Nature et Renaissance, deux dimensions évidentes à l’Islette.
