L'ISLETTE EN GARE

Travel to the heart of the miniature railway world

April 18, 19 & 20, 2026

The Château de l'Islette is hosting this year an exceptional railway exhibition, dedicated to the world of Paris–Orléans and during the golden age of model making.

Visitors will discover a unique selection of meticulously crafted model railways created by passionate modelers, offering remarkably accurate depictions of railway life: period stations, animated landscapes, historical anecdotes, and technical expertise. The exhibition also features a very rare collection of toy trains from the 1930s to the 1980s, a true journey through time with pieces that are now impossible to find.

This event will showcase both railway heritage and the art of model railroading, and is sure to delight both casual visitors to the castle and seasoned enthusiasts. The full list of layouts and participants will be released very soon to allow everyone to plan their visit.

To book your visit, buy your tickets online (classic ticket – usual price).

Tickets can be purchased on site directly on the day.

This exhibition will bring together the networks of enthusiasts of the Paris Orléans railway, as well as a collection of period equipment, with conferences on topics related to the Paris Orléans railway and the South West:
